Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

Our client specialises in the design and development of metal tubing for various applications in the aerospace, medical, power and oil and gas industries. They are currently seeking a Process Engineer with a Chemical / Metallurgical processing background to assist in streamlining wet chemical processes.
Prepare validation protocols for the operation of industrial scale chemical cleaning equipment.
Use of acids and organic solvents to remove residual processing contaminants from metal surfaces.
Lead investigations into corrosion issues affecting alloys processed on site.
Report on all results and other daily processes, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Develop an effective method for statistical process control of measurements for chemical processes.
Carry out risk analysis based on process performance to assess risk of process failure.
Relevant qualification in Chemistry or Metallurgy
Experience in a manufacturing environment within a Technical/QA role.
Experience writing technical reports and improving chemical cleaning operations.
Experience leading root cause investigations.
Knowledge of chemical analysis techniques, stainless steel and titanium alloy properties.
Exposure to the requirements of NADCAP for the approval of Chemical processing.
