GROUP HR MANAGER - 'world class manufacturing'
Location: Somerset (full relocation support available)
Salary: £40-£55,000 + Senior Mgnt Benefits (incl. Car + Bonus + Pension + PHI)
Forming part of a major international engineering and manufacturing group, our client is a highly profitable market leader in the development and manufacture of specialist products and systems to a wide range of industry sectors worldwide.
As an influential member of the Senior Management Team, you will be heavily involved in the development and implementation of HR strategies - supporting the delivery of business objectives as well as leading and shaping the HR team to provide a comprehensive day-to-day operational HR service to a wide range of Managers and Employees on site.
In addition, the role will also be accountable for identifying and developing existing HR policies and processes to improve efficiency / effectiveness whilst ensuring compliance with best practice and employment legislation.
Working closely with the Senior Management Team, you will drive both the development and implementation of HR strategies to meet business needs, including people planning & resourcing, performance management, training & development, compensation & benefits, and employee relations.
Lead organisational development and change management initiatives across the business.
Motivate and develop the HR Team to assure delivery of day-to-day operational HR support to the business in an effective, cost efficient manner.
Support Senior Management Team in the development of leadership and people management skills through coaching, engagement and development interventions, as appropriate.
Co-ordinate training needs analysis and implementation to ensure that training and development interventions are prioritised to meet key business objectives within budget requirements.
Ensure accurate and timely monthly and quarterly reporting on HR metrics, including
headcount and turnover figures.
Develop internal communications policies appropriate to the organizational and business needs of the company's strategy.
Working with the Senior Management Team, review and agree appropriate Environmental, Health & Safety policies and training to ensure compliance with regulations.
CIPD qualified with at least three years senior experience gained in an advanced industrial environment (manufacturing or distribution based ideally); you will be a results focused individual with a 'can-do' attitude and pragmatic outlook.
Previous experience of managing a close-knit team of HR professionals coupled with extensive experience of working at Senior Management level, with multi-site / group level exposure a real benefit.
A proven track record of project based HR and best practice knowledge coupled with experience of driving through significant change.
