Position available for a service engineer - fleet support to join a leading marine systems manufacturer.

NOTE: Position is based in Dorset and is commutable from locations listed above.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a high calibre service, installation or hands on commissioning engineer looking to join a global market leading global organisation who can offer a friendly and professional environment to work where recognition is given to performers.

As a fleet support engineer, you will have a varied and interesting role carrying out work to the marine fluid handling and water management sector primarily planning, installing, commissioning and testing marine auxillary equipment and associated controls

Responsibilities will include:

* Respond to incoming technical and operational queries and problems, giving hands on technical support,
* Providing verbal or written explanation of solutions
* Diagnosing problems and creating solutions for clients
* Working closely with the design department
* Arrange supply of replacement equipment or parts if required
* Arrange for service engineers to travel to vessels and installations to perform rectification work.
* Promote sales of additional service work, parts, upgrades etc.
* Put together quotations, specifications, pricing and commercial conditions
* Manage the administration of service calls
* Appraise service engineers reports
* Produce summary reports detailing/analysing service department activities and field problems.
* Support, assist, cover for and occasionally train other members of the fleet support department.
* Provide training for customers and personnel from overseas offices if requested.
* Visit sites/vessels to undertake hands-on service work, as and when required.

The ideal candidate will have some of the following:

* Trouble shooting, problem solving and technical analysis skills
* Ability to multitask and prioritize work
* Ability to work to tight deadlines
* Strong interpersonal skills - to build relationships with customers
* Good computer skills including ERP Systems, Ms Word & Excel
