National Account Manager

National Account Manager - Circa £45k plus excellent bonus, company car, pension etc. This is a home based role based anywhere in England. Working for a pan-European provider of high quality printed packaging solutions into the high street and retail markets.

The Company

Part of £multi-billion group, the company is a well-established and leading supplier of high quality printed packaging solutions. Using both paper and plastic, the company is heavily influenced by brand and design thus offer bespoke offerings to both smaller businesses and major brands on both the high street and within leading fashion brands. With a global supply chain and superb European infrastructure, the company is able to provide the full range of luxury packaging into most market sectors. In order to manage its growing account base the company now requires an excellent Key Account/National Account Manager to join its dynamic and passionate team in a business with a creative and exciting culture.

The Role

Reporting to the Director, you will assume responsibility for a portfolio of circa £4million per annum. This will be made up of several accounts but there will be a main 6-8 account portfolio depending on your location. The accounts will be a combination of retail and high street brands. Your role is to manage and grown margin in these accounts whilst looking for different areas were you could add value and grow market share. It is both a design led and brand aware sell that ensures that this is both creative and project led in its approach. The role involves in-depth client interaction. On top of this you will also look for new business opportunies in any of the above sectors. Home based, you will split your time between working with key customers, liaising/working on projects with your internal departments and targeting new business opportunities.

The Applicant

You will be an excellent Key Account Manager or National Account Manager who has sold into the High Street Retailers and Brands thus will understand the cycles and nuances of this sector. Product wise, a background in selling some form of design led printed packaging will be ideal, especially from either the plastic or paper packaging markets. The company will look at someone from either a manufacturer or distribution background as it is the end user knowledge that is the most important. A technical or design background would be an advantage due the creative element of the sell. You will be hungry, passionate, energetic and excited about joining this market leading and global business.
