Operations and Maintenance Manager
This is a truly unique opportunity to join a FTSE250 FM Outsourcing business who are in collaboration with a state of the art renewable energy company. This partnership is forward thinking and sustainable, converting waste products into power that is put back into the national grid.
This role is for an Operations and Maintenance Manager to manage the day to day operation and maintenance provision and delivery of M&E Facilities Management Services on site in line with the Commercial Agreement and Service Level Agreement between MITIE and the client, whilst ensuring standards are consistently met and solutions sought.
The main responsibilities will be as follows:
To manage the operation and maintenance of the waste wood energy plant services, providing specialist operational support to achieve and sustain optimum operational performance and availability of plant.
To manage and maintain cleanliness of the plant infrastructure to the highest standards in order to ensure a safe working environment
Manage small works and intermediate projects
Manage energy consumption
Build a continuous improvement process to ensure that business performance and delivery can be further enhanced by clearly demonstrating optimum performance and continuous improvements are in place to bridge any gaps identified
Lead and manage the team onsite to operate the plant in a safe and effective manager
Day to day management of employees including conduct, performance, attendance and capability
Develop and maintain an operational stakeholder management plan to ensure an effective operational interface is achieved with the client
Establish and manage the operational budget for all services delivered and management by the company
Ensure a documented QHSE management system is in place with clear evidence of compliance
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experiences
HNC / HND in a relevant discipline
Experience of managing the operation of electrical generation plants
Knowledge of SCADA control systems, combustion systems, steam generation, HV electrical generation and distribution
Project management skills
